Description

Short description

Soul Maze is an online co-op game where cooperation and betrayal go hand in hand.

Long description

Soul Maze is a 2-4 player online co-op game set in a procedurally generated maze in purgatory. Every run reshapes the corridors, traps and threats. The team must locate Soul Fragments hidden behind obstacle courses, solo puzzles and cooperative trials before time runs out, with help if needed from the Strategist's Tower, a central tower that lets one player guide the others from a distance. The ultimate goal: find and reach the great portal leading out of the maze.

But every round can fail. And every failure triggers a vote: one player is sacrificed by their own teammates. They don't die, though. They come back as a Dark Soul, armed with new powers and one goal: keep the survivors from escaping. Stealing fragments, seeing through walls, freezing players in place: the more rounds the team fails, the more Dark Souls hunt them, and the higher the tension climbs.

For streamers

Your friends are about to betray you. On camera.

One failed round is enough to turn the whole group against itself: the sacrificed player comes back as a Dark Soul, with one goal, hunting down the friends who left them behind. Add proximity voice chat, which exposes every hesitation, and every run turns into tension your community can't look away from.

Features

Cooperation comes at a price

Eight systems that turn every run into a different story.

I

2-4 Player Online Co-Op

Explore, survive, and sacrifice each other as a team: from 2 to 4 lost souls thrown into the same maze.

II

Vote & Sacrifice

Failed round, missing fragments: the team votes to sacrifice one of their own at the altar. A collective choice that can turn the whole group against itself.

III

The Strategist

One player stays in the tower while the others explore: a view of the fragments, radio guidance, and an aerial map to spot traps and direct the team in real time.

IV

Become a Dark Soul

The sacrificed player comes back on the other side: X-ray vision, tracking fragments and Light Souls in the dark, all to keep them from escaping.

V

Proximity Voice Chat

The closer you are, the better you hear each other, and the more exposed you are to whatever is lurking behind you.

VI

Procedural Maze

Trial blocks (obstacles, solo puzzles, two-player puzzles) and passage blocks, randomly assembled every match. Never the same maze twice.

VII

Lantern Powers

A charged shot to strike, a right-click to communicate at a distance and spot your teammates through walls. Every move drains energy you'll need to learn to manage.

VIII

Unpredictable Global Effects

Statues scattered across the maze trigger buffs or debuffs for everyone at once, depending on who sets them off.

About the studio
